Lindsey Canesi

Owner & Head Trainer

Lindsey attended Mount Ida College as an Equine Business major, riding on the IHSA team at River Wind Farm. Lindsey enjoys training and working with all breeds, but she has a passion for Thoroughbreds and true understanding and patience for young horses. Lindsey is competitive in the Hunter, Jumper, and Eventing with her own horses and SME students. 

She enjoys sharing her knowledge with riders of all ages while running a strong lesson and horse show program. She is dedicated to continuing her own education and reaching goals for herself, her riders, and SME. While you will see her often at a horse show, you can also find her participating in many clinics and seminars!

Nikki Speranzo

Trainer & Roger Williams University Head Coach

Nikki has a passion for training both the horse and the rider, with over twenty years of experience in the equestrian world. 

 

After graduating from Roger Williams University with a degree in management, and obtaining her MBA shortly after, Nikki dove headfirst into the professional equestrian industry taking a job as a Head Groom and Assistant Trainer for a Grand Prix rider. 

 

She specializes in Hunter/Jumper training, with experience showing up to 1.20m. Nikki has a passion for riders looking to show, whether it be rated, local, or home-schooling shows. Nikki also coaches the RWU Equestrian Team and the SME IEA Team.

Ashley Furtado-Carreiro

Trainer & Wheaton College Head Coach

Ashley has been working with horses for over 30 years. Teaching and coaching is her full-time job and passion. Ashley is the Wheaton College Head Coach, as well as one of Sunflower Meadows IEA Coaches. 

 

She believes being kind is always the right answer, and has a passion for teaching new riders to show them the way. 

 

Ashley can be found showing her personal horse Nicholas Cromby in the hunters. She grew up riding and working at Holly Hill, and has a vast amount of experience to share with her students.
